PRODUCT INFORMATION

Dalray Acrylic Sealer is a water-based clear protective coating selected specifically for use over Dalray Limewash.

Limewash is naturally a breathable mineral finish, and wherever possible, we recommend leaving it unsealed to retain its natural movement, texture and character. However, walls in hallways, busy family homes, commercial spaces and other high-touch areas can benefit from additional protection.

Applied over fully cured Dalray Limewash, our Acrylic Sealer helps reduce surface transfer and improves the durability of the finished surface, with minimal change to the look and character of the limewash.

Our approach is simple: seal the areas that need additional protection and leave the rest unsealed where practical.

Coverage & application

Coverage: Approximately 15m² per litre, per coat, depending on surface porosity, texture and application method.

Coats: Apply 1–3 thin coats depending on the level of protection required. One coat may be sufficient for areas requiring light protection, while two to three coats can be applied where greater durability and protection are desired. Allow each coat to dry completely before recoating.

Application: We recommend using a microfibre roller to apply thin, even coats. Can also be applied by brush or spray.

Recoat: Wait until the previous coat is completely dry before recoating. Under normal conditions (25°C), the coating may be touch dry in approximately 30 minutes and ready for recoating after approximately 3 hours. Allow longer in cold or humid conditions.

Full cure: Approximately 28 days.

Masking: If masking over Dalray Limewash or Acrylic Sealer, always use a low-tack, sensitive-surface painter’s tape. Standard or high-tack masking tapes may lift or damage the limewash or sealed finish when removed. Remove tape slowly and carefully, and avoid leaving it in place longer than necessary.

Important information

Always test the sealer on a small, inconspicuous area before coating the entire surface.

Applying an acrylic sealer will reduce the natural breathability and moisture-regulating properties of the limewash finish. Sealing may also slightly alter the colour depth, sheen, texture and mottling of the finished surface.

For this reason, we recommend using Dalray Acrylic Sealer selectively in areas where additional protection is needed, while leaving other limewashed surfaces unsealed where practical.

Dalray Acrylic Sealer is designed for interior use only. It is not suitable for areas subject to regular water saturation or pooling, or high-wear surfaces such as flooring and benchtops. It is not a waterproofing membrane and should not be relied upon to prevent water ingress.

    SHIPPING & RETURNS

     

    Wallpaper products:

    All our ‘stocked’ products are shipped anywhere in Australia within 3-10 working days and all ‘indent order’ products have a lead-time of 2-6 weeks depending on availability on the manufacturers end. If your product is urgent, please contact us for lead-times prior to placing an order.

    Dispatch includes for one to two (1-2) days on top of 3rd party courier companies or AU Post  to your nominated address at the time of order. If you are unavailable at the time of delivery and the product is eventually returned to us, you will have to bear the cost for additional delivery at the original cost. Signatures are not required for all deliveries unless specified otherwise.

    At White Mica, you are entitled to choose a refund OR repair OR exchange OR credit if the products you’ve purchased are faulty, significantly different to those shown or described to you or are not doing what they’re supposed to do. Please ensure to keep your receipts as proof of purchase.

    If products are damaged during the installation process, we do not offer a refund of exchange so please be sure to check your products prior to installation.

    When you buy, please choose your products carefully, as we do not provide refunds for change of mind. This is due to the specialty nature of our products whereby most products are ordered in specifically for you.

    Paint products:

    We DO NOT accept any returns on our paint products particularly the ones colour tinted to order. We do consider exchanges on a case by case basis. This only applies to pre-tinted paints. Product must be un-opened and sealed if a product exchange is approved.
