MILK PAINT

Milk Paint is one of the oldest forms of paint made from ingredients like milk protein (also known as milk casein), clay, and lime. This essentially makes the paint it’s non-toxic, environmentally friendly and a zero VOC paint. It comes in a powder form and usually mixed in a 1:1 ratio with water to create a beautiful paint finish. This ratios can be altered if you wish to create a more translucent effect like a wash or a more textured gritty effect.

Milk paint can be applied onto porous unfinished surfaces like pine for lovely coverage but is also a brilliant paint for shabby chic and chippy effects. For adherence to surfaces like plastic, glass, metal etc, milk paint needs to be combined with a bonding agent or ultra grip.
